Almost no one really knows what they have. The inventory spreadsheet dates from the last migration, racks were recabled without note, and half the devices answer on an IP that has since changed. This module works backwards: a device is identified by its MAC address, the catalogue gives it its true size and ports, and cabling is described as it exists — a cable between two ports. What sensors see on the network attaches to it automatically.

Know what you have before the audit
